I know... I know. Puff paint's comeback can't be far behind. Let's just hope they skip that one and move on to something far classier like pleather... oh wait... never mind.
Since I donated my Bedazzler to Good Will years ago (oh the naivete) and have yet to purchase an "embellished sweatshirt," I developed a simple equation to keep my fashionista-self on trend:
Statement Necklace + Sweatshirt = Blinged Out Loungewear (no purchase necessary!)
The best part about this fashion solution is that when bejeweled sweatshirts are no longer cool, (trust me this can't last long) each piece will still be able to be worn separately while their bejeweled counterparts go the way of my once-loved bedazzler. Catch my drift?

I typically have a hard time finding jeans. I'm 5'9 (long legs) and curvy (junk in the trunk). Usually if I can get pants to fit my butt/thighs they are swimming around my waist. Despite what you may think, looking put together doesn't require a ton of time and energy. Today I am going to show you how to put together an outfit in three simple steps using items you already have in your wardrobe. Who's excited?
Before we get started, let's get one thing straight. I'm going to assume you have pants on. If you don't, put some on. Pretty much any pants will do aside from sweats pants, other lounge pants, pajama jeans etc. We're talking actual pants, with structure, and maybe even a zipper.
Ok let's begin.
Step 1: Put on a graphic tee. (You can wear a plain tee if you're boring.)

Step 2: Slap on a cardigan - maybe in a bright color. I chose emerald green, which happens to be Pantone's color for 2013. (What can I say? I'm cool like that.)

Colten's first day of preschool was yesterday. I tried to get him in a cute little preppy outfit, but at three, he is already too cool to get dressed up for the first day of school. He ended up in his favorite hot dog t-shirt, jeans, and a hoodie. I can't get over how grown up he looked. It's like having a three foot tall teenager.
We're also too cool to have our picture taken.
