Just a Quickie

Hey Kids!

Just a quick one today - been running crazy all week trying to get back on track after vacation.  There just aren't enough hours in the day!

Notebook available at Target.
I wanted to let you all now that I finally joined the rest of the blogging world and am using Passionfruit for my ads/sponsorships.  Check that out here.

Tonight is our 3rd event for the Rochester Blogger Network.  You can get the scoop on that here.

And I'm happy to announce that I am going to be styling runway shows and dressing models for Fashion Week of Rochester!

Annnnnnnd I'm working with Rochester A-List for an exciting #ShopLocal Fall Trends Project.

Lots of great stuff in the works so stay tuned!

Two for Tuesday: The Stressed Out Edition

 Hi pretties...

Washing my face this morning, I got a glimpse of my dark circles and actually saw my forehead wrinkles deepen before my very eyes... the cause:  stress.

I wear it all over my face - and let me tell you something:  that shiz aint pretty.

Why so stressed? you ask...

Well, let me first say that I am LOVING life.  My family brings me so much joy and my professional life is exploding.  I am blessed beyond measure, but still struggle with time management and finding enough hours in the day.  There are so many exciting things in the works, I don't even know where to begin.  I assure you, this "stress" is self-inflicted and probably the most positive stress a person can have.  It boils down to me trying to cram a full time job (ok two...possibly three) into the two hours a day I have a sitter.  I always find myself  burning the midnight oil after the kiddies are in bed. So yeah.  It's crazy.  Good crazy.  But crazy nonetheless.

Want to know what I'm working on?

In addition to my blog, which can be a full time job in and of itself between this little gem and its local offspring Flower City Fashion and Beauty (neither of which I update as much as I would like...) there are two things taking up my time:

1.  My personal shopping business.  I love it.  I love my clients.  I'm getting paid to shop for crying out loud.  It's a dream come true.
A few weeks ago at my Personal Shopping Girls Night Out Event at Victor Kmart.
We had a dress the mannequin challenge.
Three contestants had 10 minutes to create a look - the crowd favorite was awarded a $25 gift card.  So.  Much.  Fun.

2.  Rochester Blogger Network- have you heard of it?  I'm the co-founder.  We just launched in June and am so excited about this project.  I am passionate about facilitating relationship among writers, businesses, and our local community.  I love seeing people make connections, build relationships, and get involved.  When local writers and bloggers come together - all those voices can unite to do really powerful things.  I can't begin to tell you how happy it makes me to see this dream become a reality!  This is only the beginning!

So, sure, I'm stressed.  I'm busy, but who isn't?  I think in order to grow, priorities need to ebb and flow. Yes, I have a lot on my plate.  Maybe I can't blog every day.  Maybe I can't do EVERYTHING, but I can do a lot.  I can find chunks of time here and there and seize opportunities as they come.  And even despite the craziness (and dark circles) I have such a peace about it all.   It makes my heart so full to know that everything I am pouring my heart into is something that adds value to my life and goodness to my soul.  So yeah life is crazy, but I wouldn't change it for the world!

If you are local, come on over to Salena's tomorrow for 20 Minutes and Margarita, sponsored by Rochester Blogger Network.  RSVP here.

Hope you're having a great week!

I booked myself a massage for 6:30 tonight.  What?  I deserve a little break :)

Look What I've Been Working On...

Hi Kids!

Sorry for the lack of content yesterday and today, but I've been super busy putting together the Rochester Blogger Network Web site and gearing up for my big Kmart event tomorrow.

In the works....
Hoping to launch site at the end of the month.
Tomorrow night!  Come!
Don't worry - my usual drivel will be back in no time flat!

Romper Love

I've been a fan of the romper for some time now.  Unfortunately as a tall girl, they never seemed to fit.  They would always"ride up" if you catch my drift.  Let's just say camel toe is never a good look.  Ever.

I'm sure you can imagine my excitement when I tried on this baby at Anthropologie and it actually fit.

Happy dance!

It was the perfect thing to wear to my launch party for the Rochester Blogger Network last night.  I needed something cool, comfortable, and fun: check, check, check.

I opted for a loser fit than the model pictured above and here is how I styled it:

It was a hot one, so the pony tail was a must!
I slapped on some bracelets, rings, and a great pair of silver earrings.
Loved how these Target wedges looked with it!
My Madewell sunnies added to the retro feel.
A simple envelope clutch from Francesca's held all my essentials:
phone, business cards, hot pink YSL lipstick etc.
Bold lips added a pop of color.
And I was ret to go!
I loved how functional and comfortable this romper was.  It is definitely going to be a wardrobe staple in this fashionista's closet all summer long!

What about you?  What's your favorite thing to wear when the weather starts to heat up?

xoxo

PS- Post about last night's fantastic event coming soon to Flower City Fashion and Beauty.  Stay tuned!

One-Eyed Willie

Hey you guys,  (get it?)

Things have been a little hectic over at Casa del Sanzo.  In addition to putting the finishing touches on the launch of the Rochester Blogger Network (tonight at Napa, - you should come!), I've been nursing this guy back to health:  (the guy on the left - pretty sure the other guy is a lost cause)
Striking resemblance, no?
Monday night my husband was supposed to have a 15 minute procedure done to put an intraocular lens implant in his left eye.  Well, three hours and one very nervous wifey later, the doctor came out to the waiting room to let me know that he was fine, but that there were some complications.

We had anticipated Steve waking up and being able to see (albeit groggy from the anesthesia) instead we are looking at a much longer recovery.  Looks like I'm going to be Driving Miss Daisy for a little while.

C-este la vie.  At least he is okay.

So yeah, after being away for three weeks, organizing a major event, and nursing one-eyed Willie back to health things have been hectic, but I am happy to say that all is well and I can't wait to see everyone tonight!

xoxo

Jenny

PS- What does one wear when they launch a blogger network?  I'm thinking a romper and wedges... or is that too casual?  Please leave your input below.
