My husband calls me the "coupon queen." From eating out, to buying groceries, to hitting the mall, coupons save me THOUSANDS and I make sure to remind the hubs how lucky he is to have a wife who saves him so much money. ;) One of these days the geek inside of me will create a spreadsheet and tally exactly how much I save in a year with coupons. Alas, today is not that day.
Spreadsheets aside, I'm sure you can imagine how thrilled I was to discover Coupon Chief. It is a database of about a bazillion coupons from almost any retailer you can think of from the Apple Store to Arby's and Nordictrack to Nordstrom's. I was so impressed at the number of retailers on Coupon Chief; they have over 50,000 coupons for over 15,000 stores and are one of the fastest growing coupon sites on the web with over 250,000 visitors each month. How did I not know about this sooner!?!
In addition to the vast number of coupons available, you can add stores and coupons to their site. This is where Coupon Chief sets itself apart from other coupon sites: not only is it a way to digitally clip coupons (no annoying programs to download, no printing), but you can get paid (yes you read that right) you can get paid to clip coupons. The program is called Pays to Share and when you upload coupons, you can make 2% of the sales! Ah sharing (and couponing) never felt so good!
I think what I love the most about this site isn't that it isn't just for major retailers (don't get me wrong they are there too), but anyone with an online store can upload their coupons to promote their business. I would love to see more Rochester retailers taking advantage of what Coupon Chief has to offer. What a great (free) way to increase exposure for your online store! I can't wait to share this site with my friends, especially those with their own businesses.
It is definitely worth paying Coupon Chief a visit before your next virtual shopping trip. I know I will. Now if only I could find someone to pay me to shop...

Far Our Vintage Grand Re-Opening Party
Love vintage duds? Far Out Vintage (previously in Village Gate) has moved to 633 Monroe Ave in Rochester!
The shop's lovely owner Michelle Gallo is hosting a party this Friday, February 24th from 6pm-9pm to celebrate her new location. Drop by for some light refreshments, a chance mingle, some nail art, and 15% off EVERYTHING in the store!
What can you expect to find there? Well the fun part is: you never know. I snagged a gorgeous 50s cocktail dress last year, but you can find a variety of clothes and accessories for men and women. Merchandise is constantly changing but you can expect to find anything from 70s polyester wrap dresses to a house dress from the 1930s. Going to the Awesome 80s Prom Fundraiser for Golisano Children's Hospital and the American Cancer Association in March? This might be the perfect place to accessorize or find your dress!
Want to know more about Far Out Vintage? You can check out her etsy store here and view the official facebook invite here.
If you go, be sure to report back with what you find!
